Housing Boom       As of late May, 2003, there were 2,490 housing units planned or under construction inside the Village limits.
Developments under construction include 700 single family homes in Dundee Ridge, off Stowell Road; 95 single family homes in River Ridge, off Brewer Road; and Eagle Springs, a 51 unit senior citizen complex on Cabela Boulevard.
In various planning stages are a golf course with 400 units; Franklin Properties, 700 units; senior housing on Wilcox Road, 200 units; Oak Street-Wells Road, 200 units.
Also, two companies are considering construction of condominiums along the river in the downtown area.
